Personal Support
Let’s TWIST offers personal support to all women students studying with us full time at Bradford College.
It can be difficult returning to study especially after having children or being unemployed, and particularly when starting a course in a subject which has traditionally been considered only for men.
The personal support tutor is there to support you, to offer advice and guidance, to provide a role model mentor if you want one and to ensure you feel you have someone to talk to if you’re finding things hard, for whatever reason. We want to support you to successfully complete your course and progress into work or further study.
You will also have a course tutor who will be a subject specialist and will offer direct guidance and support over curriculum issues. You are entitled to tutorial sessions with your course tutor, something which is offered to all students studying at the college.
Further specialist counselling support is also available for All students
registered on courses at the college, through the Guidance and Counselling
Service, Student
Services.
