Material Girls

During National Science week, girls from Year 9 at Bingley Grammar School, Hanson School and Immanuel College enjoyed a day of activities about "Materials". During the morning session, the task was..."Making Crash Helmets for Eggs!". The winning team were the team that produced the lightest crash helmet that protected the egg when dropped from a great height!

"I enjoyed making the crash helmets, I learnt a lot about shock absorbing and originally I thought that the bubble wrap would be the best but it wasn't" Crash helmet construction "Crash helmets!...something that you don't get to do a lot!"
