This web site is for school girls interested in careers in science, engineering, technology and construction and includes an online mentoring and discussion area. Talk to your teacher or careers advisor about how to sign up for the discussion areas. The schools events galleries will shortly be moving to this web site.

Girls Taster Event as part of National Science Week. Science Safari Event 18th March 2005	Held at The Applied Sciences Department of Bradford College. Event organised by Lets Twist in conjunction with the Department of Pure and Applied Social Sciences. Photos now online!

Professional Careers for Women in Construction Taster Event - 10 December 2004 .	Venue: New Mason Properties, Victoria Mills, Shipley. The day focussed on professional careers within the industry, giving an insight into the roles of quantity surveyors, project managers and architects through educational games and also by receiving talks from role models such as two civil engineers, an architect and an environmental consultant... more... WISE Outlook Event 9th - 11th November 2004 WISE Nov 2004	Another action packed 3 day Wise Outlook event was held in November 2004, where 20 school girls got the opportunity to meet inspiring women role models from various engineering disciplines; carry out electronic activities, design systems for making mass biscuits, followed by a visit to Fox's Biscuits in Batley and finally a presentation evening attended by parents and teachers. Material Girls 19th March 2004 Material Girls	In National Science Week, girls from Year 9 at Bingle Grammar School, Hanson School and Immanuel College enjoyed a day of activities about "Materials" Making helmets for eggs and metallurgy workshops
Construction Girls 18th March 2004 Construction Girls	As part of National Science Week, Year 10 girls from three schools in Yorkshire (Bradford Girls Grammar School, Ridgewood School in Doncaster and Grange School in Bradford) took part in lively day to find out about working in construction Design Session and Site Visit
WISE Outlook Event 10th - 12th December 2003 WISE	Another action packed event, over 3 days, which included meeting women engineer role models, designing systems for making biscuits, visits to Fox's Biscuits and Yorkshire Electronics, followed by a presentation to family and friends.
Girls, going for it! 17th October 2003 Girls Get into the Groove	Year 9 girls learn some skills using wood. Sue (the tutor) showed them that it's not just Handy Andy who can wield a hammer and saw!
National Construction Week event 9th - 10th October 2003 Go For It!	An action packed and fun 2 days where school girls experienced brickwork, painting & decorating, building a tetrahedron, meeting a role model and visiting a building site. You can also listen to soundbites from the events
